Squirt and Runa are a 5-month old, sweet and dynamic duo that became buddies when they entered foster care and are looking to find their forever home together!Squirt (aka Squirtle) is a social butterfly once he gets comfortable with his surroundings and with new people. Once he’s relaxed, his purr motor starts, and if you engage in chatting with him, he'll keep chatting back and sometimes elongate his sweet meows as he makes a particularly important point in the conversation. A dedicated cardio guy, he enjoys using the cat wheel and will sometimes shout while he's on a stroll throughout the house–just to make sure you know what he's up to. He's quick to greet his foster and demand pets/cuddles.Runa (aka Runes) is a quiet, reserved, slightly skittish girl who requires patience when adjusting to a new environment. However, once she's comfortable, she'll follow you and patiently wait for you to refill the food bowl or water dish. This pretty girl can be affectionate when she wishes. She really enjoys relaxing on the window perch and while she's not the most cuddly, she does like to be near her people. She's a speedy gal and great at hiding. Like her best friend Squirt, Runa enjoys the cat wheel, as well as wrestling matches followed by cuddle sessions.Both can be seen dragging around their toy of choice throughout the house; Squirt especially enjoys this with longer toys that are nearly the length of his body.These two have definite kitten energy, with Squirt being a little bit more active. They like to try to get into stuff (tissue or paper towels are special faves) or get underfoot when you’re walking around. Playing with them, and keeping them busy and engaged, is a great way to help them get their energy out!Squirt and Runa currently live in a townhome with one adult, another pair of kittens and 3 adult cats (including fellow Pet Haven kitties Take Off and the bonded pair of Now and Then). They'd love a home with forever humans who work from home or are around a lot, as they truly love people, but they are okay being by themselves for short amounts of time. Since Runa is so skittish, a quieter home would likely be best. The kittens are currently separated from the other cats in the house in the evening so they have full access to their kitten food all night. (This is necessary to prevent the other cats in the house from gobbling up this tasty treat!)Squirt and Runa’s foster human currently works from home most days, and they like to relax on a blanket between her and her keyboard, using an arm as a pillow.Their only interaction with kids has been at an adoption event and it went well; due to Runa’s reserved nature, they would do best with gentle, cat-savvy, older children. Squirt and Runa are so ready to enjoy a caring, calm, compassionate home where they can bring their unique blend of kitten charm and silliness. There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimates.Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped.
