Description

Remi is a sweet, affectionate, playful puppy who has really come out of his shell. When he first meets someone or feels unsure, he can be shy and reserved and may look for reassurance. Once he feels safe and settled, his playful personality comes out. He is energetic, curious, loves toys, and enjoys being involved in whatever is happening.He loves people and is very affectionate, especially with his kisses! He is doing especially well with puppy biting and is becoming very gentle with his mouth. Remi enjoys playing with other dogs and does a good job respecting their boundaries. He is learning appropriate play and when to give another dog space. He has also been getting individual playtime and nap time to build confidence and independence. He is currently fully crate trained when crated with his brother and sleeps through the night. Since most of his crate experience has been alongside his brother, he may need some reassurance and adjustment when transitioning to crating independently.Remi is the smaller of his littermates. My suspicion is that he may have been a little hesitant to compete for food, particularly if he was sharing meals. He has no issue eating here, and we’re just making sure he continues getting the nutrition he needs to catch up and grow. Additionally, he is still working on daytime potty training and has occasional accidents, as he absolutely loves water!There are currently no children or cats in the foster home, so we haven’t been able to directly test those interactions. Based on his overall temperament, we don’t anticipate either being a problem with proper introductions and supervision.Overall: Remi is a loving, playful puppy who may need a little extra reassurance during a transition. Once comfortable, he is happy, social, energetic, and full of personality.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $300.
