Description

This pup will be available to meet starting on 9/5Vilmer is a sweet, affectionate boy with a heart as big as his long legs! He's still growing into them, which makes him adorably clumsy at times. If you're looking for a velcro dog, Vilmer is your guy—he loves being close to his people and is a true "leaner," always wanting to be touching you. When he's feeling playful, he can be a little mouthy, but it's all gentle, puppy-like fun. He enjoys playing with other dogs and has done wonderfully with Bridie, Soda Pop, and my personal dogs. Despite having canine friends to romp around with, Vilmer is just as happy hanging out by your side. I often call him "the old man" because he'd rather be sitting on the couch next to you, soaking up affection, while the other dogs continue playing. He's a loving, easygoing companion who simply wants to be near his people and will make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a loyal best friend. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here: https://4p4l.org/faqs/  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.
