Spruce (A143114) is an 8-month-old husky who weighed almost 40 pounds at intake!08/22/26 This super sweet and affectionate guy is Spruce! Spruce arrived at the shelter via the overnight dropoff kennels with incomplete owner surrender paperwork. Unfortunately, due to no owner info or signature confirming the surrender of Spruce to the shelter, he had to wait nearly a week on a stray wait before being assessed for the adoption program. Now that he has completed his mandatory wait period and has been neutered and cleared by the vet, he is ready to find his new forever home! Spruce was said to do well with humans of all ages, as well as cats and other dogs. Please make sure all introductions are still done in a slow and controlled manner to allow for the best possible outcome. He was said to ride well in the car and to generally mind well. Spruce was described as being gentle, outgoing, friendly and affectionate. He has been so eager to be with people at the shelter, that he tried to get up and join a meeting while still feeling the effects of sedation from his neuter!
