Hello! I'm Syrus, and I want to be your best friend!  I can be shy when I first meet you, but do know once I get to know you I'm your bestest friend.  I would do great in a home with other playful dogs. I'm great at adapting my play style to big dogs and small pups too!  I love kitties and gently play with them too if they are game.  Otherwise I leave them alone.  I'm housetrained and walk fabulously on a leash.  I'm not dog reactive though my ears will perk up when I see another dog.  Squirrels I get a wee bit excited over but nothing too crazy. My description from the shelter said I'm a Shepard/Bordie Collie mix, but I bet I could have some Great Dane and/or Greyhound/Whippet in me as I've got the longest legs and svelte body! I also have the coolest stripe down my muzzle, which everyone comments on. Its pretty special.  I love walks, and adventures and I do great in the car too as I know its an adventure time.  I love, love, love snuggles and I give the best hugs! I would do best with humans who want an active, super smart and loyal dog.  I don't run off, as I want to be where you are.  I bet I'll need some time to adjust as I love my foster family right now, but I know when I go to my forever home, I'll come around quickly.  I will need a family that understands that I will approach new people when I'm ready to receive pets and attention.  That said, that is true for any dog, not just us shy pups. I'd love some socialization and confidence building training with a certified force/fear free trainer, both for me and for you. Wanna meet me? I'm ready for walks, hikes, cuddles, hugs and love! I'm kinda fabulous and a beauty too! Underdogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $390. Syrus is being fostered in SE Portland You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog  . You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Safety Home Checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually or in person.
