Dylan | 4 month old Staffie mix | Scrappy by name, sweet by nature Dylan, affectionately known as Scrappy Doo, is a sweet, playful Staffie mix with a big personality packed into a 19-pound puppy. He can be a little shy and vocal when meeting new people or dogs, but once he has a chance to warm up, his loving personality comes shining through. He quickly becomes your funny-shaped shadow and loves following his people around, getting attention, and snuggling. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and has done well with cats, too. Scrappy is an active, curious puppy who loves walks, car rides, toys, chew bones, and anything involving food. He especially enjoys snuffle mats, puzzle feeders, and lick mats. He is very food-motivated and eager to learn, and he is already picking up basic commands like sit and come. He is also incredibly tolerant of handling, making things like brushing and ear cleaning easy. Like any puppy, Scrappy is still working on potty training, crate training, and his manners. He has made progress but will need a family committed to continuing his training. He does well in his crate overnight but struggles more with being crated or left alone during the day, so continued work on alone-time skills will be important. He also likes to jump up for attention and can be easily distracted on walks, particularly by people and other dogs. Accidents can happen while a puppy is adjusting to a new home, so patience and consistency will be important. Scrappy would thrive with a family who can give him plenty of attention, structure, exercise, and training. He has all the ingredients to become an amazing companion: he is sweet, affectionate, playful, smart, and eager to please. He just needs someone willing to help him learn how to be the very best version of himself. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $475 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
