Description
Meet Peppercorn, a sweet, gentle girl who came to us skinny, alone, and still somehow full of joy. Even on her very first day, she greeted us with a wagging tail and acted like she had known us forever. It didn’t take long for us to see just how much love she has to give.During her dog test, Peppercorn showed us that after likely being bred over and over again, she’s ready for a life where she can finally just be her own dog. She prefers to be the only animal in the home, but with kids she has been nothing but wonderful. She’s patient, affectionate, and we see no concerns with her around children.Peppercorn is still learning what toys are and how to have fun with them, but she’s trying, and it’s adorable to watch her figure out joy in real time. Love, though—she knows that better than anyone. When you look at her, you can guess the past she’s had, but you can also see how ready she is for a future filled with kindness, comfort, and a family who will finally treat her the way she deserves. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet!
