❤️ After years of putting everyone else first, Peppercorn is finally looking for a family who will make her the center of their world. ❤️Meet Peppercorn, a sweet, gentle girl who came to us skinny, alone, and still somehow full of joy. Even on her very first day, she greeted us with a wagging tail and acted like she had known us forever. It didn’t take long for us to see just how much love she has to give.During her dog test, Peppercorn showed us that after likely being bred over and over again, she’s ready for a life where she can finally just be her own dog. She prefers to be the only animal in the home, but with kids she has been nothing but wonderful. She’s patient, affectionate, and we have no concerns about her living with children.Peppercorn recently enjoyed a weekend sleepover with a foster family, where we learned even more about what makes her special. She absolutely adores children and even made several trips to a local middle school, where she happily made dozens of new friends. She loved every bit of the attention and proved what a wonderful family companion she can be.Like many dogs adjusting to life in a home, Peppercorn is still working on a few skills. She will need continued training with counter surfing and would benefit from crate training to help her settle comfortably into her new routine. She's eager to please and ready to learn alongside a family willing to guide her.Peppercorn is also still learning what toys are and how to have fun with them, but she's trying, and it's adorable to watch her discover joy in real time. She also enjoys the simple pleasures in life, especially finding a sunny spot to stretch out and sunbathe. Love, though? She knows that better than anyone. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful.
