Description
MEET GADGET! He’s funny. He’s thick. He’s super dog-friendly. He has a foot fettish and will whizz on your kitchen floor after being outside just because. Found as a stray with Gizmo (who has since found his furever home), Gadget is now happily doing chores with foster mom and dad on the farm and is safe around chickens, horses, dogs and pretty much anything living. He’s just a happy little doofus and will be your shadow if you let him. Gadget is a mixed breed and like lots of short nosed dogs, has had to have nares surgery to help him breathe. He also had some muscle mass to rebuild, having likely spent a lot of time in a crate. Now recovered and stronger, he is ready to find his own place (but would very much like there to be humans and other dogs in it please). We wouldn’t exactly say Meatball is trained, but he does have excellent recall. Foster Mom says he’s like a Yo-Yo and will follow her around the farm, go off and smell the roses and run right back to nibble on her toes. He plays with the other dogs and cuddles in a big pile of puppies when it’s time to rest. He is doing better with house training (about 75% of the way there), and would benefit from a strict schedule to help him perfect this important life skill. He’s pretty young (we think he is less than a year old) and has puppy tendencies so patience is a virtue with him. He hasn’t had much experience riding in cars and was a total ditz on the way to the farm so riding in a crate is recommended. Gadget’s adoption donation fee is $450, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for him by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.org. Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions.
