Description

Birthday: January 16, 2022 Kalimotxo (or Kali for short) is a TNR kitty who was visiting humans for several months.  One cold January morning, she knew a freeze was coming.  Normally she would wait by the front door for food.  However, she noticed that there was a back door where the humans let their animals INTO the house! She knew this was the place that could shelter her from the elements and somehow understood "help me" was spoken at this house in many languages. But a part of her thought, "These humans are too slow. I'll let myself in!" And so she did! That's how she wound up in her foster's home! Kali was guarded when she first arrived, but she's trying to trust humans again. Based on her mannerisms and socialization with humans, it was clear she once lived with humans, but someone failed her. Who could blame her for being a little put off? She's the epitome of a survivor. She assesses "danger" (the room) and finds shelter if she feels the need. However, she will keeps a close eye on everything that happens around her.  Just like a souring batch of Spanish red wine meant for celebration in a small village, she made the best out of the situation and added some sweetness to the wine, like Coca Cola! She just needs a family to be that Coca Cola for her! It will save the festival and everyone will celebrate; it can save this kitty too! Kali would make a great cat companion for someone or a small family without young children who are looking for a second or third kitty! She's curious about her foster's dog who is a cat lover by nature. She likes to "share" the raised dog water bowls with them, and she adores her foster's male cat.  She is a sun worshiper, and she will groom herself in the morning sun until she falls asleep. She absolutely loves the window. In the afternoons, you can catch her grooming her kitty friend! She's playful by nature; she loves interactive "chase" toys, running up and down the stairs at 3 in the morning, afternoon cat naps, and dehydrated tuna for a snack!  Her adoption donation is $115 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
