Description
Honey Bee – Physical Characteristics: A classic orange tabby with a warm, autumn-sunlight coat and evenly distributed, lighter-colored stripes. She has an adorable, round face and a medium build with a pleasantly rounded frame; she is four months old. Core Personality: Hissing is her defensive mechanism; any unusual movement makes her nervous enough to hiss initially, yet she can calm down and accept petting the very next second. Honey Bee is a classic "middle-grounder"—she can play the role of the little sibling being cared for by Aspen, while also acting as a protector for Pansy. She dislikes conflict; when faced with a dispute, she simply walks away to observe quietly from a corner. Behavioral Habits (Detailed): · Sleeping Preferences: Honey Bee loves to snuggle while sleeping. Common scenes include having Aspen hold her down to groom her while she closes her eyes in contentment, or curling up with Pansy—heads resting together and tails intertwined. She derives a sense of security from physical warmth and isn't picky about her cuddle partners; as long as there is warmth, she is happy. · Activity Patterns: A balance of activity and stillness. She doesn't run wildly like Aspen, nor does she remain motionless like Pansy. She enjoys "slow-paced games," such as chasing a rolling paper ball or batting at hanging tassels with her paws. She spends a significant amount of time gazing out the window—occasionally making "chattering" sounds—but mostly sits quietly. · Eating Habits: She has a moderate appetite and eats at a steady, unhurried pace. If her sisters start eating and make noise, she immediately checks that the environment is safe, perking up her ears to locate the food. When presented with a particularly tasty cat treat, she will use her paws to pull it closer to her mouth—a sign of a clever, socially savvy kitten. · Social Style: She acts as a "social lubricant" among the cats. She fully accepts Aspen’s grooming without resistance and willingly shares her bed when Pansy approaches. She never instigates fights or competes for resources. Stress Response and Adaptability: · Takes about one week to adapt to a new environment. For the first three days, she will hide in a corner or under the bed but will secretly observe the humans. If a new owner calls softly and uses treats to coax her, she will emerge around the fourth day to tentatively touch a finger. · If adopted together with Pansy, her adjustment period will shorten to about five days; Pansy’s reliance on her encourages her to explore the new territory more quickly (she needs to verify safety before bringing Pansy out). · If adopted alone (not recommended), she may appear quieter, but she can still gradually open up through gentle human interaction. Ideal Adopter: · Best suited for quiet, gentle, and patient adopters—particularly working professionals or seniors who want a cat that offers "quiet companionship without being disruptive." · Adoption Recommendation: She must be adopted together with Pansy, as Honey Bee serves as Pansy’s "emotional anchor." Adopting only Honey Bee while leaving Pansy behind would cause Pansy to fall apart, and Honey Bee would feel a sense of loss from no longer having that role of being "needed." They make a perfect pair. Part of adopting a kitten is recognizing that they are babies, and you will get to see firsthand how their wonderful natures develop! Prior to adoption, all kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens under 5 months old must be adopted with a buddy or into a house where there's a kitten-friendly pet. This kitten is currently in a foster home. To meet this kitten, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adopt
