Description

Aspen’s Physical Characteristics: She has a pure white coat, mismatched ear colors (one of each), a fluffy, lively black tail, and blue eyes; she is approximately four months old. Core Personality: Extremely outgoing, confident, and affectionate. Aspen is a quintessential "social butterfly" who places great trust in humans. Once she settles into an environment, she explores freely and actively seeks out petting, head-butts, belly rubs, and "kneading" (making biscuits). She thoroughly enjoys being petted and will even hop onto people's laps to demand attention; she begins purring the moment she is picked up. Behavioral Habits (Details): · Sleeping Preferences: Aspen dislikes huddling with other cats to sleep, preferring instead to claim "high vantage points" or "secluded, private spaces." She often sleeps alone on the top tier of a cat tree or inside a tent-style cat bed, indicating that her sense of security comes from "controlling her territory" rather than "relying on companions." · Activity Patterns: Highly energetic; she loves climbing up and down cat trees and is enthusiastic about chasing wand toys or catching treats. She reacts excitedly to moving feathers and even invents her own "soccer games"—kicking a toy against the wall and then pouncing on it as it rebounds. · Eating Habits: Excellent appetite; she is not a picky eater and enjoys both dry kibble and canned food. She eats quickly and is always the first to arrive when it’s mealtime. · Social Style: Fearless and bold. If other cats approach to sniff her, she may occasionally hiss as a warning but never backs down; instead, she simply carries on with what she was doing—such as hunting for treats on the floor or immediately switching her focus to interacting with humans. She is unconcerned about whether other cats accept her, as humans are her "best playmates." Stress Response and Adaptability: · Exceptionally resilient to stress; moving house or changes in her environment have almost no impact on her. After arriving at her new home, she might finish surveying her territory in just a day or two; by the third day, she is already rubbing against her new owner and actively soliciting food. · She may initially hide in an unfamiliar environment, but she adapts quickly when enticed by treats (such as meat puree sticks). She explores every nook and cranny with curiosity and even excitedly chatters at birds outside the window. Ideal Adopter Profile: · Suitable for singles or couples; especially ideal for adopters looking for a cat that is affectionate and clingy—much like a dog. · Adoption Advice: Best kept paired with another outgoing cat. Do not house her with an extremely timid cat (as her habit of excessive grooming would only make the calico more anxious). Part of adopting a kitten is recognizing that they are babies, and you will get to see firsthand how their wonderful natures develop! Prior to adoption, all kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens under 5 months old must be adopted with a buddy or into a house where there's a kitten-friendly pet. This kitten is currently in a foster home. To meet this kitten, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adopt
