Meet Duke, an 8-month-old, 62-pound Pit Bull/Great Dane mix with a whole lot of love packed into one big, happy puppy. Duke came to the shelter through no fault of his own after a divorce left neither person in his previous home able to keep him. He is now looking for a family who will make him a permanent part of their lives.Duke is a genuinely happy boy who loves being around people and is always ready to enjoy life. His previous family reports that he is housebroken and has done well living with children and cats. If you have another dog in the home, a meet-and-greet will be required to make sure everyone is comfortable and compatible.At just 8 months old, Duke is still growing and learning. He is a big puppy with an equally big heart, and he will need a family willing to continue helping him develop his manners and confidence. When meeting new people, Duke can be a little timid at first and may need some time and patience before he feels comfortable. Once he settles in, his happy personality starts to shine.Duke isn't looking for a perfect family—he's looking for his family.
