MEET OLIVEOlive is a 6-month-old, 40lb Scottish Terrier mix who is looking for a family willing to give her the time, patience, and guidance every young puppy needs. She was returned to the shelter due to a family member developing allergies. Her previous owner reports that Olive lived with children and did well with them. She has also done well with other dogs. If there is another dog in the home, a meet-and-greet will be required to ensure they are a good match. Her history with cats is unknown.Olive can be a little timid when meeting new people, but once she has a chance to feel comfortable, her sweet personality begins to shine. With some patience and gentle encouragement, she warms up and becomes playful, engaging with her handler and looking for interaction. She is still very much a puppy and is learning how to navigate the world around her.Olive would benefit from a family who understands that puppies are a work in progress and is willing to continue working with her on basic training, leash manners, and confidence-building. She has so much potential and is at the perfect age to learn, bond, and grow alongside her new family.Olive may need a little time to come out of her shell, but once she does, you get to see the fun, playful puppy underneath. She deserves a family who will give her the chance to grow into the wonderful companion she is meant to be.
