Text WILLOW to 864-441-9075 for my full story - we'll share everything you need to know! Here's Your Quick Peek: Meet Willow — a happy, social, rough-and-tumble puppy who loves people, children, toys, car rides and PLAY! Willow came to us when her first family realized that two busy adults working full time and a very young puppy simply weren't a fair combination. They cared enough about her to ask for help, and now Willow is looking for the family who will help her grow into a wonderful adult dog. She is good with small dogs, cats and people, and she absolutely loves the children in her foster home. Willow also enjoys her much larger dog friends, including a Standard Poodle and a Saint Bernard, although she can initially be shy when meeting unfamiliar dogs bigger than she is. Please note - if you want to skip the text and go straight to the application, you can find the link here: www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application/ Must have: A friendly, patient resident dog who can be Willow's mentor and playmate. Willow left her litter at only about five weeks old and missed some important early lessons from her mother and littermates. A good canine teacher will be especially important as she grows. Exercise: Yes! Willow is an active puppy who loves to run, wrestle, play and explore. Best with: An active, dog-savvy family with another well-socialized dog. Children age 8+ would be a big plus — Willow LOVES kids. Not ideal for: A home looking for a quiet lap puppy. Willow plays hard, can overwhelm very calm dogs and still has some enthusiastic puppy mouthing. Energy level: High puppy energy Willow rides well in the car, loves toys, sleeps through the night and settles fairly quickly in her crate. Good with dogs: Yes Good with kids: Yes — preferably age 8+ Cats: Yes What Breed Is Willow? Her original veterinary paperwork says Cavapoo, but after speaking with her former family and seeing pictures of the parents, we believe Willow is more accurately described as a Poodle/Doodle mix. One parent appears to be a Standard Poodle and the other a Labradoodle. We expect Willow may be a low shedder, but she is still too young to know what her adult coat will be like. We are not listing her as hypoallergenic. Poodle mixes can still trigger allergies, and if allergies are a major concern, our best recommendation remains a purebred Poodle.
