Description

OTHER PETS: Scrappy is very curious and loves meeting and sniffing other dogs. Due to his enthusiasm, he may be too much for some dogs. [Case-By-Case] OWNER EXPERIENCE: Experience with positive reinforcement or willingness to learn. Scrappy can be anxious with touch/handling leading to some displacement behaviors (play bows, zoomies). Recognizing anxiety and related behaviors, and having the ability to use positive reinforement while teaching appropriate alternatives, and creating happy associations, will be a must. [Some Experience] KIDS: Due to Scrappy being sensitive to touch/noise it's important that individuals have a good understanding of Scrappy's overall comfort by accurately reading body language and signals. Minors and dogs should be actively supervised to keep everyone safe - anyone living in the home with Scrappy must be 15+ . [15+]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Scrappy has tons of evergy and is excited when it's his turn to go out side. A combination of regular exercise and plenty of mental enrichment such as food puzzles, games and learning new tricks, will help fully meet his needs. He has a tendency to unstuff toys so nonstuffed toys are recommended. [Good Walking Buddy] VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement will help Scrappy bond with his new owner, build confidence, and learn new skills and fun tricks. [Minimal] GROOMING: Routine visits to the groomer will be the best for Scrappy to keep his coat in good shape. [Routine]
