Charlotte is a 3-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who was surrendered by her owner when they were no longer able to keep her. She is a gentle, sweet girl who loves the company of her other Cavalier friends.Charlotte was quite shy when she first arrived, but with love and patience, she has blossomed into a loving little dog. She can still be a little unsure about asking for affection and may not have the confidence to come up and ask to be picked up onto the couch. She is perfectly happy lying at your feet, though, and if you pick her up and place her beside you, she is very content to snuggle there. She sleeps through the night on the bed with you.Once Charlotte knows and trusts you, she will happily follow you around off leash and has recently even discovered that she enjoys swimming in the local creek during her walks!Charlotte's ideal placement would be a quiet, loving, Cavalier-savvy home where she can continue building her confidence and be absolutely doted on. She is mostly potty trained, cat friendly, and would especially enjoy a home that understands her gentle nature and gives her the time and reassurance she needs to settle in. Charlotte would do best in a home with other kind, confident Cavaliers for her to bond with.PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. We do not breed or DNA test.***Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel.
