Meet Kelsey!! Note for adopters: Kelsey is overall healthy but experienced a severe upper respiratory infection before arriving to the shelter. She has chronic changes in both eyes as a result. The change is called `anterior synechiae`. Anterior synechiae describes when the iris (the colored portion of the eye) sticks to the inner surface of the cornea (clear surface of the eye). At this point, the extent of changes is minimal and this kitten shows no signs of pain or severe impediment requiring treatment or intervention. You should monitor her eyes lifelong and inform your full-service veterinarian of any changes/concerns.
