Mindy is a beautiful 5½-year-old red Poodle who was recently released to Furry Kids by a breeder. And this sweet girl has surprised us in the very best way! Unlike many dogs coming from a breeding environment, Mindy absolutely LOVES people! She craves human attention and is happiest when she can be close to her person. Whether she's snuggled up beside you watching a good movie or curled up in bed with her foster mom at night, Mindy is all about being part of the family. ❤️ Mindy also loves other dogs and has done amazingly well with everyone in her foster home—from tiny 8-pound pups all the way up to 60-pound dogs! She enjoys running and playing in the backyard with her canine friends and would be happy to have a doggie buddy in her new home. She's also one smart cookie! Mindy is catching on to housebreaking very quickly. Her foster hasn't seen an accident yet, although we aren't quite ready to call her 100% housebroken just yet. With continued consistency, we think she'll have it mastered in no time. Mindy does great in a kennel while her foster mom is at work. When her foster is home, though, Mindy gets to be out and about with the family—and that's exactly where she wants to be! Mindy was spayed and also had a dental cleaning while in our care. She needed 10 teeth extracted, but she's feeling much better now and that certainly hasn't slowed her down! Mindy really is just a great dog. She's sweet, smart, social, affectionate, and so ready to leave her breeding days behind and discover what it means to be someone's beloved family member. If you're looking for a loving companion who will happily snuggle up for movie night and then head outside for some fun with her friends, Mindy just might be your girl! ❤️ And just another note: Mindy arrived to us with Myla (Black & White Mini Poodle) they spent all 5 years of their life together and were only separated due to foster availability.  They don't need to be adopted together but would do great as a pair! Myla is not quite ready yet as she was just spay 8/19/26.
