Introducing Waylon Jennings! This young guy came to DASH from a rural shelter in Kentucky when he was on the short list for euthanasia for overcrowding. He's a big boy and very energetic, so he will need a very active person or family who is willing to make sure he gets the exercise he needs so that when it's time to relax that he'll be ready. He is very friendly with all of the people and dogs he has met so far, but his play style is a little rough so a bigger dog sibling would be the best fit for him (no little dogs). The same goes for kids, he would do best in a home with older kids who he can't knock down when he's wanting to play. He is currently in our DASH Prison Program where he is learning basic commands and working on his crate training (will sometimes bark when left alone) and walking on a leash. He is housebroken in the prison setting. He is very affectionate and goofy and just wants to play and run. He is not a fan of thunder or loud noises, but he is working on that. This boy needs adventure and a forever family dedicated to helping him to continue to become the best companion he can be.
