Description
Looking for the Right Home for Sai With a very heavy heart, I’m looking for the right home for my boy, Sai, a male Siberian Husky. This is not a decision I’m making lightly, and finding the right family for him is incredibly important to me.Sai is a big, goofy, affectionate lap dog who absolutely loves his people. He is especially bonded to his boy and has always been incredibly loving with him. He will happily let his boy wrestle and play with him and has a very sweet, goofy side. He is also protective of his family and has a strong bond with the other dog in our home. That said, Sai has some behaviors that mean he needs a very specific home. I want to be completely transparent so we can find the best possible fit: He would do best as an only pet, or potentially with a similar-sized dog after a slow, careful introduction. He has a high prey drive and is aggressive toward small animals. He is fence-reactive/fence aggressive, so a secure, fully fenced yard is a must. He can become overwhelmed by loud or chaotic environments. He has a strong herding instinct with running children and may nip at their heels, so he would do best with older, dog-savvy children who understand how to interact appropriately with him. He will need someone who is willing to continue working with him, provide structure, exercise, and understand Husky behavior.Despite these challenges, Sai is a loving, loyal, goofy boy who has so much love to give to the right person.
