Hi, I'm Butters! I am the definition of a "spicy kitty." I joined rescue in 2022 as a very timid and feisty girl after being taken in from a hoarding case. Due to the environment I lived in for several years, I did not know how to trust humans yet. I have since learned that people are not so bad and as long as you're willing to take the time to get to know me, I might really warm up to you. I have come a long way over the years! The volunteers that care for me have shown me that the world is not that scary of a place and have allowed me to come out of my shell at my own pace, so I am hoping to find an adopter that will give me the same patience. For example, it took over a year before I let anyone at the rescue touch me or pick me up. I like some other cats but only if they mind their business, I really don't care to play with others. I am quite scared of dogs and and not fond of children so I would prefer a home without either of them please. I am becoming more and more adventurous by the day, it's a slow and steady process for me! I love treats and chasing laser pointers which are by far my favorite toy!  I am looking for my forever home, but it is very important that my new owners know I need patience, space, and time in order for me to reveal my true self! I will do best in a quiet and settled home that has minimal change, I don't think I would enjoy being with a renter or someone who moved around frequently.  I am a kitty with a whole lot of personality and love if you are up for the challenge! Butter's adoption fee is $85 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and FeLV/FIV testing.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, we look for adopters who have a history of having kept their pets altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives.  If you would like to meet Butters, please submit an adoption application for consideration at Adopthope.org
