Description
Gidget is a 7- to 8-month-old black and tan German Shepherd female who came from a local shelter so there is not much known about her past. She is a shy girl who has trouble warming up to people, but dogs she would follow all day any day. She is on the smaller side but still has some growing to do. With her shy temperament it is hard to coax her outside to work on bathroom habits. However, whenever the opportunity arises, praise is highly given. She sleeps well in her crate at night once you're able to get her in. She can be very treat motivated once she figures out how good they taste and will sometimes do a sitting pose for them. With her shy temperament she has a tendency to stiff arm when picked but no other issues. It takes her awhile to warm up to folks and sniff their hand, but she will come around. She is working on leash manners and confidence so small short walks to build up her confidence would do her well. Gidget would do well in a home with another confident dog who can teach her the ropes and help come out of her shell more. She is a sweet girl who just needs time, love and attention and she will be your best companion. She will not do well with cats. Small dogs unknown.
