Sam is a handsome 8-year-old who would love to be the center of your attention. He’s cuddly, adores belly rubs, and has perfected the human sound, “hello?” You may notice that he has a very unique look - Sam is transitioning to an adorable lion’s cut to help him manage all those luscious locks! He has a dental appointment for early September, as well, so he’s all ready for his new lease on life! An ideal home would let Sam be the only cat, where he gets plenty of belly rubs, scratches, and loving looks shared between you. He has lived with a female cat before, but has since determined that the solo life is best for him in this new phase of his life. Humans who work from home or are around a lot would be ideal for this guy!Sam arrived at rescue at 25 pounds but has already shaved off over 2 pounds! He is doing wonderfully on a vet-prescribed diet, and his future family will need to be ready to support him on his healthy journey. He eats his diet food like a champ and is very good about using only his litter box. He’s also started to become more playful as the weight melts off of him, so be ready to have a spiral toy there for him to get some of his newfound energy out!
