Description
Molly is a sweet, smart, energetic girl with just enough mischief to keep things interesting! She was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas when she was only a few weeks old and was adopted as a puppy. After several months in a home, she recently found her way back to our rescue when her adopter was no longer able to work from home.Despite all the changes, Molly is ready to put her puppyhood behind her and find the family who will be her forever this time around. She's friendly with visitors and absolutely loves playful, younger dogs. Give her a canine buddy who wants to chase and wrestle, and she's in heaven!Molly is energetic, playful, and incredibly smart. She loves games of chase and keep-away and is always ready to participate in whatever is happening around her. She's also learning that she doesn't always need to be in charge of the action. She has developed a habit of using her "demand bark" when she wants something—whether that's getting out of her crate, meeting someone new, greeting another dog, or encouraging a dog to play. Her foster is working with her on listening, making eye contact, settling, and learning to use her indoor voice. She's also very interested in the resident cat and will taunt and chase him. She hasn't shown aggression and is gradually improving, but a home without cats might be best.Once she's had a chance to burn off some energy, Molly is happy to settle beside her person. She's not a huge cuddle bug yet, but she loves being near her people and has a very sweet, affectionate side.Molly is looking for an active family who will give her plenty of opportunities to play, continue working on her manners, and appreciate her big personality. She's been through a lot of changes already, and we're hoping this next chapter will finally be her forever one.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
