Description
This pup will be available to meet starting on 8/22Soft, sweet, and as gentle as a summer breeze, Orchid is everything people love about a young Great Pyrenees. This beautiful 6-month-old puppy weighs 38 pounds and is ready to trade shelter life for mountain adventures, cozy naps, and a family to call her own. Orchid's journey hasn't been the easiest. She was left in the shelter's overnight drop box alongside several other dogs, but she's choosing to look forward instead of back. She's hoping her next chapter is filled with love, security, and people who will cherish her for the incredible girl she is. True to her Great Pyrenees roots, Orchid has a calm, gentle, and thoughtful nature. She may be a little shy when meeting new people, but kindness and patience quickly earn her trust. She's the kind of puppy who quietly watches the world around her before letting her sweet personality blossom. One thing Orchid knows for certain is how much she loves other dogs. They help bring out her confidence, and she'd absolutely enjoy a home with a friendly canine companion to play with, learn from, and snuggle beside. Watching her relax around her dog friends is enough to melt anyone's heart. They were rescued from a shelter in New MexicoMeet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
