Oscar is a 2 year old male Whippet mix, and at just 34 pounds, he is one of our smallest residents. But this adorable pup has a personality that is anything but small! Oscar is a friendly, sweet, well-behaved boy who simply loves being with people. He has a joyful nature and is happiest when he’s out enjoying the world with his human friends. Whether he’s going for a nice walk or getting to stretch his legs with a happy run in the park area, Oscar is always ready for some fun! And when Oscar is happy out in the park, he gets the most adorable curl in his tail - with that cute white tip at the end serving as the sweetest little exclamation point! He is a wonderful walking companion, easy on a leash and knows the Sit command. He is also eager to learn more, making him the perfect pup to continue growing and learning alongside his forever family. Oscar is ready to trade shelter life for a family of his very own. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
