MARCELLA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Marcella          Best Guess for Breed:  Australian cattle dog mix Best Guess for Age:  1.5 years as of August 026        SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight:  31.5 lbs   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Puerto Rico shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Marcella would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   Marcella is Looking For:  Her forever home! Marcella is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. She did an awesome job of raising her babies - the last litter she'll ever have! - and they all are off to get their own homes. It's her turn now! She's a young girl, eager to see the world by the side of her humans, eager for romps in parks and all those adventures that come with being a well loved dog. Making pup pals along the way would be great too - shelter staff say she is great with people, good with dogs!   Most of all, though, she wants to know where she belongs, to be safe and loved for all her days. In exchange she promises so much love and loyalty. What do you say? Is Marcella the active companion you have been seeking? What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once she has spent time in foster care.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
