Some dogs have a way of making every day a little brighter, and Chunkers is one of those dogs.This handsome 1-year-old Lab mix came to the shelter with his mom, Eclipse, after their family faced difficult medical challenges and made the heartbreaking decision to surrender them. It was a choice made out of love, with the hope that both dogs would find families who could give them the lives they deserve.Since arriving, Chunkers has been an absolute joy.Just like his mama, Chunkers has a heart of gold. He loves other dogs, enjoys spending time out in the yard, and is always excited for attention from volunteers. Whether he's playing with his canine friends, soaking up affection, or simply enjoying being part of the action, Chunkers approaches life with happiness and enthusiasm.At only a year old, he still has that fun-loving youthful spirit, but he's also incredibly sweet and affectionate. He has the kind of personality that makes people smile without even trying. His tail is always ready to wag, his heart is always open, and he is more than ready to become someone's best friend.Chunkers doesn't understand why he's living in a shelter. He only knows that every day he hopes someone will stop at his kennel, see the wonderful dog he is, and choose him.He deserves a warm bed, a loving family, and a lifetime of adventures.
