Teddy is a beautiful Golden Retriever mix born May 8, 2026. He currently weighs 13 pounds and is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog, likely around 45 - 50 pounds as an adult. Teddy can be a little shy when he first meets someone, but it doesn’t take long for his sweet personality to come out. He simply needs a little patience and confidence building to help him realize the world isn’t such a scary place. He is incredibly smart, playful, and eager to learn. Teddy is also very food motivated, which makes training much easier. With treats involved, he is more than happy to figure out what you’re asking him to do! Once Teddy feels comfortable, he is very affectionate and loves being close to his people. He has a wonderful combination of puppy playfulness and a gentle, loving personality. Teddy would do best with a family willing to continue building his confidence, introducing him to new experiences at his own pace, and giving this smart boy plenty of opportunities to learn and play. Teddy is looking for a family who will help him grow into the confident, happy dog he is meant to be. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more) - not just until his puppy cuteness wears off. You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Like most puppies, he may chew on anything within his reach to include but not limited to baseboards, shoes, socks, children's toys, electrical cords, plants, etc. His adoption fee is $250. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccinations, Bravecto®, Drontal® Plus, Tri-Heart® Plus Chewable Tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references, and criminal histories.
