Sunny is a beautiful Golden Retriever mix born May 8, 2026. She currently weighs 13 pounds and is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog, likely around 45 - 50 pounds as an adult. Sunny can be a little shy when she first meets someone, but it doesn’t take long for her sweet personality to come out. She simply needs a little patience and confidence building to help her realize the world isn’t such a scary place. She is incredibly smart, playful, and eager to learn. Sunny is also very food motivated, which makes training much easier. With treats involved, she is more than happy to figure out what you’re asking her to do! Once Sunny feels comfortable, she is very affectionate and loves being close to her people. She has a wonderful combination of puppy playfulness and a gentle, loving personality. Sunny would do best with a family willing to continue building her confidence, introducing her to new experiences at her own pace, and giving this smart girl plenty of opportunities to learn and play. Sunny is looking for a family who will help her grow into the confident, happy dog she is meant to be. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more) - not just until her puppy cuteness wears off. You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Like most puppies, she may chew on anything within her reach to include but not limited to baseboards, shoes, socks, children's toys, electrical cords, plants, etc. Her adoption fee is $250. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccinations, Bravecto®, Drontal® Plus, Tri-Heart® Plus Chewable Tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references, and criminal histories.
