Meet Agatha Agatha’s story is one of learning to trust—and discovering that being loved is actually pretty wonderful.She was once part of a colony where a kind resident made sure she and several other cats were cared for. When that person was no longer able to live on their own and had to move, the cats were suddenly left without their caretaker. Around the same time, Agatha and a couple of the other cats were found with cut-up and torn paw pads that needed medical attention, adding to our concern. With their caretaker gone and medical care needed, we made the decision to trap them and bring them into rescue so they could receive the care they needed—and never have to worry about being left behind again.For Agatha, adjusting to indoor life took time. She was very shy and wary of people at first, but there was always something about her that told us she wanted to trust. She just needed the time and patience to figure it out for herself.And then one day, she did. Agatha finally realized that pets are pretty amazing! Now she absolutely loves being petted and soaking up affection from the people she trusts. She still enjoys the security of her favorite spot on the top tier of her den—especially when she’s waiting for her wet food to arrive. Agatha is looking for a quiet, patient home with someone who understands that trust doesn’t always happen overnight. Starting her in her own room or smaller space where she can feel secure would be ideal, allowing her to explore and adjust at her own pace.The shy ones can sometimes be overlooked. They need a little more time, a little more patience, and a little more understanding—but watching them finally let their guard down and choose to trust you makes it that much more special.We know Agatha’s person is out there. And when she finds them, we have a feeling the bond they share will be one of the strongest of all.
