Description

This pint-sized sidekick is ready for action...or a nap with her human. Pippi is an explorer, as long as you’re there with her on the adventure. Always curious, even at 10 pounds, she’ll make sure you keep up even if she has to drag you along with her. When adventure time is over, all she wants is to be in your lap for rest and relaxation.   A sweet little munchkin, Pippi is the ideal companion for playtime and loves to chase and will occasionally get a case of the zoomies. A home with slightly older children might be best as Pippi seems to play as dogs do, using their mouths. This is being curbed while in her foster home, but it may take a little time to dissuade her from nipping at your pants to get your attention.   Nighttime and when her foster humans are away from home, Pippi is getting used to a crate as a safe space. She’s still unsure of the whole thing at times and is adjusting, but she's improving every day. She needs continued support to feel comfortable in her home and be able to sleep soundly knowing she is in a safe space.    Pippi comes from a large group of dogs that were very likely neglected and, it would seem, didn’t receive much human attention. She's adjusting to a very different life in her foster home, but she can become overwhelmed with the world around her if she's left alone too long or if she doesn’t feel safe. A good home for Pippi will provide a safe environment where she can become accustomed to living in a home with people who will show her lots of love and help her grow her confidence.   A set routine would be great for this little one where expectations are set and there are more knowns than unknowns in her day-to-day. A stable environment where she can learn the ins and outs of this new life would be best, and having another dog in the home as a role model would be awesome, but she's smart and will learn the ropes herself with patience and consistency from her humans, especially if those humans like a good game of tug!
