Update 7/15/21: Apollo & Moo are adopted and HOME!Update 7/10/21: Apollo has married beautiful MooCoo! They are available for adoption as pets in a mellow, indoor living situation.4/13/21: Apollo is a sweet, communicative, and super-cute fancy pigeon with hurt feet, thanks to the awful care wherever he lived before. Unfortunately, this isn't uncommon. Breeders and fanciers often crowd pigeons in dirty lofts. Apollo crashed into someone's window and they brought him inside; he showed no interest in leaving again. His rescuers couldn't keep her and contacted Palomacy, and we brought him right in due to the condition of his feet. He was much more comfortable after a foot soak, a nail trim, and removal of a too-tight leg band. Now he's doing well in foster care where we're seeing if a special shoe can help to correct his wonky foot.
