Peace is a beautiful 3-year-old Shepherd-Hound mix weighing about 50 pounds. After lovingly raising her puppies, this devoted mama is ready to retire from motherhood and find a forever family of her own. Peace can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she is learning that humans can be kind and trustworthy. Once she feels comfortable, her gentle personality shines through. She warms up quickly, loves being with her people, and enjoys spending time with her canine friends. In fact, she and her best friend Snow are practically two peas in a pod! This sweet girl has sparkling white teeth, a soft heart, and an impressive vertical leap. She loves treats, especially cheese and wet food, and can often be found wrestling and playing with her dog buddies Snow, Rudy, Miracle, Sylvie, and Dora the Explorer. Peace did an amazing job raising her puppies, teaching them confidence and encouraging them to explore the world around them. Now it's her turn to discover all the joys of being someone's beloved pet. She is 100% potty trained, enjoys cuddling on the couch, loves sharing the bed with her humans, and has done well with children, including her foster's 9-year-old niece. While she's still building confidence in some areas and would benefit from continued leash training, she is making great progress every day. The adoption fee is $400, which covers vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet.
