Description

ICABOD NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Icabod      Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix   Best Guess for Age: 4 years as of April 2026     SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight: 57lbs   Gets Along With:  He has done well with other dogs. Icabod would do best in a home without cats or young children.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home!   Icabod is Looking For:  His forever home! You know what young pups want: Lots of play time (and toys)  and opportunities to explore! This handsome young boy with the awesome ears is eager to meet his forever humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures his humans can dream up. And snuggles and cuddles, definitely. And dog school, so he can learn to be the goodest boy!  What do you say? Can you see yourself giving him scritches and pats in exchange for adoring gazes as you chill with him after a long fun day together? What My Foster Says About Me: "Icabod is a sweetie who chooses his person and stays deeply devoted. He’s affectionate, tuned-in, and happiest curled up beside you on the couch or stretched out after a long day. He has a big personality in small moments: his black-spotted tongue shows during loud, dramatic yawns, and if you make dog sounds at him, he’ll “talk back” in little conversational bursts. When he wants attention, he’ll gently rest his head on the couch edge and give you soft puppy eyes until he’s invited up.  Outside, he’s playful and full of joy — loves fetch, trails, and long road trips where he’ll happily nap as you drive. At home, he’s a soft, loyal presence who also loves his stuffed toys. Icabod does best in an adult home without children or small dogs, where he can feel secure and bonded to his person."
