Description
Betsy Ross is a sweet, sweet girl who was found hanging around a garage on 4th of July weekend. She was super tiny for her age, but has gained weight fast. She loves to play (she is nicknamed "Monkey" or "Pocket Rocket"). Betsy is also quick to purr and very friendly although she can take a couple of hours to completely warm up to a new person. She will sometimes try to avoid being picked up but she very much wants to be held and cuddled and babied (she likes it once she has been 'gotten' but she sometimes doesn't like the process of getting 'got'). She loves to give "kisses" and may actually cuddle you to death someday. It's a risk you just have to be willing to take. She is absolutely adorable, but you should know what you are getting into because she doesn't really care what else you might be doing when she decides to crawl up onto your chest for some affection. Betsy *really* needs a kitty friend to play with. If you do not currently have a younger cat in search of a playmate, Betsy will need to be adopted with a companion, preferably a younger cat who still wants to play. A lot. She is currently being fostered with Argentina, Faithe and Sosha who are all about the same age. Her coat is exceptionally sleek and silky and her ears still seem comically large for her head. Betsy will be spayed on Monday August 17 and available for adoption after Friday August 21.
