Meet Travis — A Loyal, Loving Adventure Buddy Looking for His Forever Home Travis is the kind of dog who leaves a big impression on everyone he meets. He is a sweet, goofy, incredibly intelligent boy with a natural instinct to protect the people he loves. While he can be a little timid when meeting new people or experiencing new situations, once Travis trusts you, you’ll see his true personality shine — a loving, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to please his people. Travis is a protector by nature and takes his job seriously! He is observant, aware of his surroundings, and may let you know when something catches his attention. He can be vocal when he wants to alert you, making him an excellent guard dog. But at home, he is a total sweetheart — goofy, loving, and happiest when he is spending time with his family. This handsome boy is full of energy and would absolutely thrive in a home with a fenced-in backyard where he can run, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. Travis loves being outside and soaking up every adventure. His ideal home would provide plenty of outdoor time, mental stimulation, and activities to keep his brilliant mind busy. Travis is a very smart dog who loves having a job to do. He enjoys learning new commands, playing games, and using his nose. His favorite game is hide-and-seek! He is highly food motivated, a fast learner, and eager to work with his person. Nose work, obedience training, puzzle toys, and scent games are all great ways to help Travis thrive. When it comes to other dogs, Travis can be social and enjoys having canine and feline friends. He attends daycare and interacts well with other dogs. He does well with many dogs but may have some opinions about certain dogs, especially larger, more intense dogs like huskies or German Shepherds. A home with a compatible canine companion could be a wonderful fit for Travis, as he enjoys having a fur sibling. Travis has done wonderfully around children and has shown himself to be gentle and appropriate with the kids he has met. He is housebroken, crate trained, and comfortable being home alone during the day. While he can sleep in a crate if needed, he prefers being close to his people and absolutely loves when someone is home with him.
