Now, he’s learning that he is safe, that he is cared for, and that people can be trusted. He can be a little nervous when meeting new people, and sometimes he may hiss or growl when he’s feeling unsure. These are simply his protective ways of saying, “I need a little time to feel comfortable.” With patience and understanding, he is learning that he doesn’t have to be afraid anymore. Once Tupelo feels safe and secure, his fun-loving and playful personality begins to shine. He’ll keep you entertained with his silly kitty antics and show you what a charming boy he truly is. With plenty of tender loving care, time, patience, and understanding, Tupelo will continue to blossom. Before long, you’ll see his confidence grow and discover the loyal, loving best friend waiting underneath that cautious exterior. He just needs someone willing to give him the time and chance he deserves.
