Description

Garth is part of the litter named after country music legends or superstars. This litter of five, came to our shelter with three adults as well, including their Mama (Reba).  The family that was renting the property was leaving and didn't know what would happen to them once they left. They were all outside cats (apparently were allowed inside or in some sort of porch/patio) during the VERY cold weather as some of the kittens had a little frost bite so it was essential to make room for the entire group in our shelter for everyone before the family left the property. We are happy we did, as both the kittens and the adult cats are amazing. All loving, very social (including with kids), and appreciative to have a warm and cozy place to be. These cats are a good reminder the importance of spay/neuter programs.  **In the beginning, Garth was the "big brother" of this group. He seemed protective of his siblings and they would look to him for comfort. When these kittens first arrived some of them hide underneath Garth, he still seems to be an essential part of any cuddle sessions. This boy is a handsome buff (light beige/orange) kitten. He has the SOFTEST fur so is great that they loves to be pet. Garth is a beautiful, sweet, and affectionate guy, although he can be a little reserved when he first meets you but as soon as you sit on the floor, he will come behind you, give you are sniff, and once you start petting him...this boy is all in. Like his siblings Garth loves to roll and show off his belly. He is just the cutest! ***UPDATE: Garth has now (almost) grown up in the shelter as he nears the one year mark we have lifted the "two kitten requirement" that our rescue uses for all young kitten adoptions. Although we do feel strongly that he would still need to be in a home that included another young and playful cat. If you are short one of those in your home we have several young adult(ish) cats that would love to tag along with Garth. Cats are social beings and young cats need stimulation not only from us (owners) but also from each other. They learn from each other, they comfort each other, and they keep each other company when life gets busy for their people.    Complete our online adoption application a www.littleorphans.org to start the process of adding this or any of our kitties to your home. The more complete your application is, determines how quickly we are able to process your application. Please try to give your vets office (give prior authorization to release information to us), landlord, and references a heads up to expect our call.  Adoption fees include spay/neuter, up-to-date age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, flea preventative, and a microchip.
