Meet Patches! He is a 2-year-old mixed breed that we believe could be a poodle mix. It appears that Patches had a rough start at life when he came into HSPC. He was matted and terrified. It took him a while to realize that we were not here to hurt him. He has learned to love walks, toys, and the staff members. Once he warms up to you, he is the goofiest guy. He loves to throw soft toys into the air and roll in the grass. He likes to jump up to give you a quick kiss before going back to his toy. Due to his shyness and need for boundaries, we do not think Patches would enjoy living in a home with children. He will need a person who understands dog behavior and body language. Patches will also need to see a groomer regularly to make sure his coat stays mat free! He seems to be potty trained, as his kennel is never messy. Patches is neutered, micro chipped, and current on his vaccines. He weighs 21lbs. His adoption fee is $300 +tax. If the adopter is a resident of Portage County a dog license will be issued at the time of adoption.
