*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Meet Aslan, a lovey-dovey Pocket Pyr currently in boarding and hoping to find a foster or forever home! Aslan was picked up as a stray in Tennessee, and we suspect he's a mix based on his coat: he has long hair, but it sticks straight out and is stiff, and his tail curls proudly over his back. Since Aslan has been in boarding, his house-training status is technically unknown, but he keeps his kennel area clean, so he'll likely take to house-training quickly once given the chance. On leash, he does okay, though he'll pull to sniff and explore all the good smells he can find. He gets excited to get out of his kennel, and while he hasn't attempted to escape it, a 5-foot fence is recommended to keep him safely contained. He does great with other dogs, and he was overly curious with the outdoor cats at boarding, so any feline housemates would need to be dog-savvy. He's friendly when approached and enjoys meeting new people. He hasn't been tested with kids, but given how friendly he is, older kids who love giving lots of pets should be a great match. Aslan is a confident pup who hasn't displayed any fears during his time in boarding. What makes him truly special is just how affectionate he is: he’s always wanting pets and rubs, and will happily roll onto his back for full access to his belly. He also loves to lean in and give hugs! His favorite things are getting loved on and exploring the yard, sniffing out every good smell he can find. He'd thrive in a medium to active home, and he could be just as happy with a canine playmate as he would be soaking up all the love as the only pet in the house. Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered.
