  Sprout — From Under a Shed to the Home of His Dreams Sometimes the sweetest dogs come from the hardest beginnings. And Sprout is one of those special puppies who has already shown us that his past does not have to define his future. Sprout is a happy, gentle Yellow Lab mix who weighs about 25 pounds right now and wakes up every morning believing the world is a wonderful place. He is curious, smart, affectionate and incredibly kind. In fact, he is such a gentle soul that you sometimes forget you’re talking about a young boy puppy! Sprout was born as one of nine puppies living under a shed, where the litter spent their first three months. His beginnings were certainly not what any puppy deserves, but we are determined to make sure his next chapter is completely different. We're talking about going from the poorest of beginnings to the Super Bowl of homes! And Sprout is ready for it. This boy is learning all the important puppy things. He is working on his housetraining, crate training and basic manners, and he is a wonderfully compliant little guy who pays attention to his people and tries hard to do what is asked of him. He truly seems to live to love you, please you and make you proud. Sprout is expected to grow into a beautiful 55-pound adult, making him the perfect size for an active family who wants a real companion to share life with. He would love a home where there is time for all the fun puppy things—running around the yard, chasing a ball, going for walks, learning new things, playing and eventually joining his family on adventures. He has the kind of happy, adaptable personality that could make him a wonderful companion in so many different types of homes, as long as his family is ready to give him the exercise, attention and love a growing puppy needs.
