Ahsoka

Meet Ahsoka, at only 1 year Ahsoka found herself here at our shelter being dropped off as a stray. She was scared and didn't understand what was going on. Her reaction was to try to scare off shelter staff by growling and lounging but never making contact. As she learned that she was safe and no one was going to harm her she quickly came out of her shell. Now happy to see those she trust every day, she wags her tail in excitement every morning knowing she is loved. Ahsoka is still shy with other dogs and would be more comfortable being the dominant dog and nothing bigger than her as that's intimidating for her. She also will need a cat free home as she looks at them as toys. Ahsoka has played with staff members children and would do good in a home with respectful children. We would not recommend her in a home with children who will scare her by running to quickly or have fast movements. Ahsoka's ideal home would have a fenced in back yard, not mandatory but she really likes to zoom around the fenced area here at the AWL. If you are willing to spend some time and let Ahsoka open up to you, you will have the most loving K-9 companion!
