Meet Ramsey Eight Years Young and Still Ready to Work!Who says an older dog can't be your next sport partner? Ramsey has plenty of life left to live, and he's looking for someone ready to make the most of it with him! After surviving severe neglect and arriving emaciated, Ramsey has made an incredible comeback. At 8 years young, he's athletic, enthusiastic, and eager to put his energy to good use. He's not looking to spend his golden years sitting on the sidelines — he's ready for his next adventure!Ramsey has a strong toy drive and loves engaging with his person. He would thrive with someone interested in dog sports, structured training, scent work, or an active lifestyle that gives him opportunities to use both his brain and his body. His foster has introduced him to slatmill training, and he's doing wonderfully. He's also recently discovered disc and is already showing exciting potential. Ramsey could be an incredible partner for someone who wants to explore a sport, develop new skills together, and enjoy the process of training a dog who loves to engage. And you don't have to be a competitive sport handler to appreciate Ramsey! If your idea of a good weekend involves hiking trails, getting outside, staying active, and including your dog in the fun, he could be your guy. When the work is done, Ramsey enjoys affection, bonding time, and a good butt scratch. He's also great with kids, making him a wonderful candidate for an active home that wants a dog to include in its adventures.Ramsey is proof that age doesn't erase drive, potential, or the desire to experience life. He's overcome so much already, and we're hoping someone will look past the number 8 and see the capable, enthusiastic dog standing in front of them. He's got the drive. He's got the potential. Now he needs someone willing to give him a chance.Could that someone be you?*********************************To apply to adopt, please fill out the application by clicking on the Adopt button or ask for this dog to be added to your existing application. All MAD dogs come with a series 3 Fi Collar and a six-month subscription. We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location.
