Meet Cinch!Sometimes dogs end up in shelters through no fault of their own, and Cinch is one of those dogs. This handsome 60 pound, neutered boy came to the shelter after a major lifestyle change in his family. A new baby was born, and unfortunately, the baby is allergic to Cinch. His family had to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender him, even though he did nothing wrong.Cinch has previously lived with dogs, a cat, and children. His previous owner also reported that he is housebroken. Since arriving at the shelter, we have learned that loud noises can make Cinch nervous. His previous owner also shared that he can be nervous around children.Cinch is a herding breed, and he can be snippy at times. This is a breed that was developed to work, and Cinch needs someone who understands his instincts and will give him appropriate outlets for his energy and intelligence.One of Cinch's favorite things to do is catch a ball in the air. He absolutely loves showing off his skills outside and also enjoys going for walks. He will do best with someone who can provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, activities, and mental stimulation to keep his busy mind happy.Cinch is not the type of dog who will immediately run up to a stranger and act like they are best friends. He can be nervous and will need someone who is patient enough to let him warm up at his own pace. Give him time, respect his boundaries, and allow him to build trust, and you may discover a playful and wonderful companion underneath that nervous first impression.Cinch has already lost the home he knew through no fault of his own. Now he is waiting for someone to give him another chance.
