This is Rueben! Rueben is approximately 6 years old and is an independent little guy. He's not one to run up to you and ask for pets or belly rubs. He doesn't mind being in your company, he just asks for plenty of time to adjust to his new environment. Rueben does well on leash and enjoys his walks every morning at the shelter. Rueben would do best with a patient person that will take it slow in getting to know him. Once he trusts you, he will gladly sit in your lap and get loved on. Because Rueben requires a slow introduction, only older considerate kids is advised. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter. If the dog is not old enough, you will be given a voucher for Animal Medical Center in Emmett to cover the cost of the spay or neuter and a one year rabies vaccine.
