Notes from foster: Meet Perseverance, Perseverance started life so tiny that he wasn't even included in the original kitten count. He has spent the weeks since making absolutely certain nobody overlooks him again.He was the first kitten to figure out solid food, worked determinedly to keep up with his bigger siblings, and has now become the most athletic and highest-energy kitten in the litter.Perseverance has beautiful silver-tipped fur and a dramatic black “necklace” pattern across his front. He's extremely playful and actively seeks out his foster human specifically to play with her hands. His other great love is considerably simpler: Perseverance thinks a paper towel waved in front of his face is one of humanity's greatest inventions.Perseverance has two speeds: GO and asleep.He routinely plays until his battery is completely depleted and then simply falls asleep wherever he happens to be—including curled up directly on his foster's chest. He already shows excellent lap-cat potential and loves hanging out with his foster on the floor between adventures.Perseverance gets along well with all of his siblings, but his favorite wrestling and play partner is Spirit (A1408857). Their energy and play styles complement each other especially well, and they would make a great pair for a home looking for two kittens.Perseverance has been handled continuously since approximately five days old and is exceptionally comfortable with people. Being picked up, carried, repositioned, touched all over, played with by fast-moving hands, and receiving belly rubs are completely normal to him. He'll readily roll onto his back and expose his belly for human play and has even learned to comfortably sit on his foster's shoulder.He's confident with visitors and strangers, highly food motivated—particularly for Churu—and completely accustomed to normal household sounds such as the Roomba, washing machine, shower and running water, fans, and other noisy appliances.Perseverance started as the tiny surprise baby and grew into the litter's little athlete: energetic, affectionate, fearless, beautifully marked, and capable of transitioning from full-speed kitten to sound asleep on your chest almost instantaneously.Best buddy: Spirit (A1408857).
