Meet Thing 1! Thing 1 is a vibrant, active, and beautiful young bearded dragon who is ready to find a forever home! This little one has a fantastic appetite for both calcium-dusted insects and fresh salads — and has been absolutely thriving in foster care. Thing 1 arrived at the rescue alongside another surrendered bearded dragon who, sadly, did not survive. Despite such a difficult start, Thing 1 has proven to be a resilient little survivor. Since entering foster care, Thing 1 has consistently gained weight, grown right on schedule, and shown just how strong and spirited they are. Through routine screening, Thing 1 tested positive for Adenovirus (ADV). The good news is that Thing 1 is currently completely asymptomatic, energetic, and healthy! ADV-positive bearded dragons can live long, happy, fulfilling lives with proper care and management. Because ADV can spread between reptiles, Thing 1 must be the only reptile in the household or be placed in a home with other ADV-positive reptiles.
