Lacy

Description

Lacy was abandoned by her previous human.  Left to fend for herself, outside- living under a porch.  But that isn't who she is now.  Lacy is learning to trust again, learning that life is filled with humans that want the best for her.  She is a very sweet girl who loves to cuddle, and to be with those who love and adore her.  She can be timid in new situations, so having a home on the quiet and patient side, would be the best fit.    Lacy behaves well with other dogs, and cats- but doesn't require another animal in the home.  Another well behaved small breed buddy in her home, would work well- a good role model to help her get acquainted with the good life.  She would do best in a home where her humans are not gone for long hours- she'd make a fabulous co worker for someone who works from home.  She rides well in the car, and she adores a daily walk with her humans.  Since she is a dachshund, she needs humans who can keep her at a healthy weight- this is critical to her health and well being.    Lacy has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and is up to date on preventative meds.  She required a rather extensive dental when she entered foster care, but she now has a clean bill of health.  She needs a family that will provide her with good food, quality vet care, proper exercise- and lots of love.  She is doing well with her potty training, but would do best in a home with a fenced yard (physical fencing only, please) so that she can have lots of opportunities to potty safely.   She is also crate trained.  All children in her forever home should be 10 and over.
