Sweet Winnie is a 2-year-old Basset Hound mix who just made the long journey all the way from Texas, and this precious girl has already stolen our hearts. ❤️ Winnie has clearly had a rough past. She recently had a litter of puppies who were taken away from her, and this sweet mama is still hiding some of her food as if she needs to save it to feed her babies. It’s heartbreaking to see, but through everything she has been through, Winnie has a heart of gold. All she really wants is to sit beside you, snuggle close, and learn that people can be kind and that she is finally safe. She’s a little on the skinny side right now, so she needs someone who is ready to spoil her with love, good meals, treats, and plenty of couch cuddles until we can get some meat on those bones! And did we mention what a GOOD girl she is?! Winnie has done fantastic in her kennel — no crying and no accidents! She also listens wonderfully outside of her kennel and genuinely seems to want to please. After everything this girl has been through, she deserves to know what it feels like to be someone’s baby. ❤️ She doesn’t need much — just patience, kindness, a full belly, a cozy place to sleep, and someone who will remind her every single day that she is loved.
